The Making
Here, the pattern comes from the construction. Broad leather panels meet at changing angles, creating a zigzag that travels across the top and continues onto the sides. There is no need for an added embroidered motif: the lines of assembly give the piece its identity.
The raised joins catch the light differently from the wider leather surfaces. As the panels turn around the corners, their geometry gives a sense of movement to the square form.
The olive green surface is not completely uniform. Lighter and deeper passages, small creases and variations in the leather soften the clear arrangement of the panels. The structure is ordered; the material remains expressive.
Collector’s Note
We chose the green Zigzag for the balance between its architectural lines and its quieter colour. The olive tone lets the panel work emerge gradually, rather than presenting the pattern as a sharp contrast.
Beside natural linen, warm timber or pale stone, it brings depth without demanding a room built around it. We like the way the square shape anchors a seating arrangement while the diagonal lines keep it from feeling static.
What holds our attention is a design detail that also explains how the cover is put together. Follow a single seam and the object becomes more interesting, not more complicated.
A clear line. A quiet colour. Geometry with room to soften.
