The Collection

A Small Object.
A Different Atmosphere.

A cushion can soften a room, introduce a rhythm or draw the eye through colour. House of Pillows brings together Moroccan decorative cushions through their distinctive textures and details: the geometry of woven patterns, the movement of pom poms, the subtle sheen of Sabra cushions and the sculpted surface of embossed leather.

Some pieces bring quiet structure; others introduce a more expressive accent. Stripes, embroidered motifs and tactile finishes offer different ways to compose an interior, from a single cushion on a favourite chair to a generous arrangement across a sofa.

Texture, Pattern & Colour

The details that shape a room
01 Sabra — Sheen & Geometry Sabra cushions bring a fine woven texture, a subtle play of light and embroidered geometric motifs to the collection. Soft neutrals create a quiet accent; richer colours give the same decorative vocabulary a more expressive presence.
02 Hand-spun Berber Wool Sourced from Atlas Mountain sheep and hand-spun by Berber weavers, this wool is the foundation of our ethnic pillows, pom pom covers, and striped cushions. Dense, warm, and naturally durable.
03 Vegetable-tanned Leather Full-grain leather tanned using natural plant extracts in the workshops of Fez, then hand-embossed with arabesque and geometric patterns by master craftsmen. Each leather pillow is a unique object.
04 Brocade & Embroidery The rich silk brocade and hand-embroidered fabrics of the traditional Moroccan salon — woven on Jacquard looms in jewel tones and finished with intricate needlework by artisan cooperatives.
05 A Palette of Contrasts Ivory, sand and warm earth tones sit alongside turquoise, pink, golden yellow and deep red. Choose a close tonal arrangement for a quieter room, or introduce one contrasting cushion to create a focal point.
The Sabra Edit

Woven Texture.
Expressive Geometry.

Sabra cushions bring a distinctive meeting of woven texture and embroidered detail to the home. Their surfaces catch the light softly, revealing the rhythm of the weave and the lines of the pattern.

Diamonds, crossing lines and repeated geometric forms echo a decorative vocabulary found across Moroccan textile traditions. Here, their appeal lies in the composition: the balance between motif and open space, the placement of a colour, the detail that draws the eye closer.

From chalky neutrals to vivid, saturated hues, each palette suggests a different atmosphere. Place a single Sabra cushion against linen for a measured accent, pair it with wool for contrast, or bring several tones together for a more expressive arrangement.

The Craft of Fez

Leather Embossed
by Hand.

In the ancient medina of Fez, master craftsmen — the maalems — press geometric and arabesque patterns into full-grain vegetable-tanned leather using traditional metal stamps. Each impression is made by hand, one at a time. No two leather pillows are identical.

The leather is sourced from the Chouara tannery, one of the oldest in the world, operating continuously since the 11th century.

How to Style Moroccan
Cushions.

01 The Rule of Odd Numbers Style cushions in groups of 3, 5, or 7 — odd numbers create visual tension and feel more natural than even arrangements. Mix one large, one medium, one small.
02 Create Contrast Through Texture Pair the finer woven surface of a Sabra cushion with the fuller texture of wool or the sculptural detail of pom poms. Keep one colour in common to connect the pieces, then let differences in weave, pattern and scale give the arrangement depth.
03 Anchor with a Neutral Start with one or two neutral cushions — ivory, natural wool, or undyed leather — then layer in colour. Our solid colour covers and striped pillows work perfectly as anchors.
04 Use a Combo Set Not sure where to start? Our pillow combos are pre-curated by our team — complementary styles, textures, and colours that work together out of the box.
05 Go Oversized on the Floor Layer oversized cushion covers directly on a Berber rug for a low Moroccan salon feel — perfect for reading corners, meditation spaces, or children's rooms.
Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

House of Pillows brings together wool and cotton cushion covers, Sabra designs, leather pillows and decorative salon styles. Explore woven stripes, embroidered geometry, pom poms, tassels and embossed details, with square, lumbar and oversized formats for different arrangements.

A Moroccan pom pom pillow is a cushion cover decorated with large hand-knotted wool pompons along its edges or surface. The pompons are made from natural hand-spun wool and are a traditional Moroccan craft element. They come in natural ivory, striped, and multicolour finishes. Each pom pom is tied by hand, making every cover slightly unique.

Sabra cushions combine a fine woven surface, a subtle sheen and embroidered geometric motifs. Their colours range from soft, earthy neutrals to vivid accents, making them easy to introduce as a quiet detail or a focal point. The interplay of texture, pattern and light gives them their distinctive decorative presence.

Begin with the mood you want to create. For a quiet interior, choose ivory, sand or restrained stripes and vary the textures. For a more expressive room, introduce a Sabra cushion in a vivid colour and repeat one of its tones elsewhere. Leather adds a contrasting surface, while pom poms and tassels soften the outline of an arrangement. Combine square and lumbar formats according to the proportions of your sofa, chair or bed.

Most of our Moroccan cushion covers are sold as covers only (without inserts), which significantly reduces shipping cost and volume. Standard insert sizes are noted on each product page. We recommend using a slightly oversized insert for a fuller, more luxurious look — for example, a 50cm insert in a 45cm cover.

Follow the care instructions on the individual product page. The appropriate method varies with the textile, colour, embroidery and decorative finish. Do not assume that a Sabra, wool or embroidered cover is machine washable, and avoid applying one cleaning method to the entire collection.

Yes. Moroccan Corridor® ships worldwide from Morocco. Cushion covers are lightweight and ship flat, making international shipping fast and affordable. Most orders arrive within 7–14 business days.
