Moroccan Corridor

Handwoven Moroccan Azilal Rug — Ivory & Multicolour Expressionist | 100 × 150 cm

Crafted in Azilal region

$360.00

This rug does not decorate a room — it activates it. On a ground of dense natural ivory wool, an explosion of colour unfolds: vertical lines in cobalt blue, bursts of orange and yellow, fragments of green and red, a large fuchsia oval anchoring the upper field. The composition is entirely free — no symmetry, no repeat, no template. Only the weaver's hand, moving across the loom with complete creative autonomy. This is the Azilal tradition at its most expressive — a school of weaving from the High Atlas mountains of Morocco that has always prioritised individual gesture over geometric convention. Each piece is unique. This one reads like a painting: layered, energetic, and impossible to replicate.

Moroccan Corridor® invites you to an unforgettable shopping experience: Hand knotted moroccan rugs from the rug experts par excellence.

More Than a Store

Moroccan Corridor was not created to sell Moroccan products. It was created to preserve, celebrate, and share the remarkable craftsmanship traditions that have shaped Morocco for centuries.

Every object we present begins long before it reaches a home. It begins with a material, a place, a workshop, and the hands of an artisan whose knowledge has often been passed down through generations.

Our role is simple: To identify exceptional craftsmanship and bring it to those who value authenticity, beauty, and cultural heritage.

We do not manufacture. We do not mass-produce.

We select.

The Painting on the Floor

The Azilal weavers of the High Atlas have never been interested in repetition. Where other Moroccan rug traditions build their beauty through pattern and symmetry, the Azilal tradition builds it through freedom — each weaver composing directly on the loom, without a cartoon or a template, placing colour where instinct leads.

In this piece, that freedom is fully expressed. The large fuchsia oval at the top is not a symbol — it is a decision. The blue lines, the orange fragments, the scattered dots of red and green: each one placed by hand, once, irreversibly. The result is a rug that functions like a painting — specific, unrepeatable, and entirely alive.
