      More Than a Store

Moroccan Corridor was not created to sell Moroccan products. It was created to preserve, celebrate, and share the remarkable craftsmanship traditions that have shaped Morocco for centuries.

Every object we present begins long before it reaches a home. It begins with a material, a place, a workshop, and the hands of an artisan whose knowledge has often been passed down through generations.

Our role is simple: To identify exceptional craftsmanship and bring it to those who value authenticity, beauty, and cultural heritage.

We do not manufacture. We do not mass-produce.

      We select.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Sabra silk, also known as cactus silk or vegetable silk, is a luxurious natural fiber handwoven by Moroccan artisans from the Aloe Vera cactus plant. It's prized for its soft texture, natural sheen, and vibrant colors.
We recommend dry cleaning only for Sabra silk cushion covers to preserve the natural fibers and vibrant colors. Avoid machine washing or hand washing, as water can damage the delicate fibers and cause colors to bleed.
For minor spots, gently blot (do not rub) with a clean, dry cloth. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth with cold water only, then immediately blot dry. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. Rotate cushions regularly to ensure even wear. Fluff and reshape pillows periodically. Use pillow inserts to maintain shape and structure. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
While our Sabra silk is dyed using traditional methods, some color variation and slight fading over time is natural and adds to the authentic, handcrafted character. Avoid exposure to moisture and direct sunlight to minimize color changes.
If ironing is necessary, use the lowest heat setting and always iron on the reverse side with a pressing cloth between the iron and fabric. Never use steam, as moisture can damage the fibers.
Never machine wash or hand wash. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals. Don't wring or twist the fabric. Keep away from excessive moisture and humidity. Avoid direct contact with rough surfaces that may snag the fibers.
With proper care, your handcrafted Sabra silk cushions can last for many years. The natural durability of the fiber, combined with gentle handling and appropriate cleaning, ensures these artisan pieces remain beautiful heirlooms.
Each Sabra silk piece is entirely handwoven by Moroccan artisans using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The natural fiber is eco-friendly, sustainable, and biodegradable, making it both a luxurious and environmentally conscious choice.
We make everything ourselves — no third-party suppliers, no resellers. We control the entire process: material selection, manufacturing, finishing, and quality control. We communicate directly — real answers from the people who create your product.
Each of our ottomans is handcrafted by skilled Moroccan artisans using centuries-old techniques. The leather is carefully hand-stitched and embroidered with traditional geometric patterns using Sarma — a wool thread hand-loomed into a robust cord. Our artisans use vegetable-tanned leather and natural dyes, ensuring each piece develops a unique character and beautiful patina over time.
Our Moroccan ottomans are individually crafted by hand from 36 pieces of leather, meaning no two pieces are exactly alike. Unlike machine-made alternatives, our poufs feature genuine leather tanned using traditional methods, hand-stitched seams for superior durability, and authentic Sarma embroidery patterns passed down through generations. The craftsmanship ensures they last for decades rather than years.
Authentic Moroccan ottomans show signs of handcraftsmanship — slight variations in stitching, natural leather texture and grain, hand-embroidered Sarma patterns with minor imperfections that prove human artistry, and a distinctive leather scent from natural tanning. Mass-produced imitations typically use synthetic materials, perfect machine stitching, and printed rather than embroidered designs.
With proper care, a genuine handcrafted Moroccan leather ottoman can last 20+ years or even generations. The vegetable-tanned leather actually improves with age, developing a rich patina. The hand-stitched construction is far more durable than glued or machine-stitched alternatives, and the natural materials are more resilient than synthetic substitutes.
Yes, each ottoman directly supports skilled artisan families in Morocco who have preserved these traditional leatherworking techniques for generations. Your purchase helps sustain their craft, provides fair wages, and keeps these cultural traditions alive for future generations.
Moroccan leather is naturally durable and low-maintenance. Simply wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth for cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water. The leather will naturally develop a beautiful patina over time. Occasional conditioning with natural leather care products will keep it supple and enhance its longevity.
Moroccan Corridor offers authentic handmade pieces, not mass-produced replicas. We exclusively use real organic goat leather, hand stitching, and Sarma cactus silk embroidery. 80% of our poufs are handcrafted in our Marrakesh workshop, while the remaining 20% are handcrafted in our Tetouan workshop. Our poufs are shipped directly from our workshops to customers worldwide — no intermediaries. We manufacture what we sell, which gives us full flexibility for customization.
