Our Quality Standards — Moroccan Corridor®

Our Quality Standards

How We Define Excellence

Our Quality
Standards.

Every piece that leaves a Moroccan Corridor® workshop has passed through a rigorous, multi-stage quality process. No exceptions. No compromises.

Quality is not a feature.
It is the foundation.

At Moroccan Corridor®, quality is not a marketing claim — it is a discipline applied at every stage of production, from the selection of raw hides and natural fibres to the final inspection before a piece is packed for shipment. We do not offer tiered quality levels. Every customer receives the same standard, regardless of order size or price point.

Our quality framework covers four domains: materials, craftsmanship, finishing, and durability. Each is assessed independently and held to a non-negotiable minimum threshold.

What we check.
Every single time.

Materials
Full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather only. We source exclusively full-grain hides — the highest quality cut of leather — tanned using traditional organic methods in the tanneries of Fez and Marrakech. No split leather, no bonded leather, no chrome-tanned substitutes. For textiles, we use hand-shorn natural wool, Sabra cactus silk, and undyed or naturally dyed fibres only.
Craftsmanship
Hand-made by verified master artisans. Every piece is produced by artisans whose skills we have personally assessed. We do not work with anonymous subcontractors or production facilities we have not visited. Stitching tension, tooling depth, embossing precision, and weave consistency are all evaluated against defined benchmarks before a piece enters our inventory.
Finishing
Edge treatment, conditioning, and presentation. Leather edges are hand-burnished or painted to prevent fraying. All leather goods are conditioned with natural wax or oil before packaging. Hardware — clasps, rings, rivets — is tested for corrosion resistance and secure attachment. Textile pieces are inspected for loose threads, uneven pile, and colour consistency.
Durability
Built to last decades, not seasons. We assess each product category against a projected lifespan standard. Leather bags and poufs are expected to last a minimum of 10–15 years with normal use. Handwoven textiles are evaluated for colorfastness and structural integrity. Any piece that does not meet our durability threshold is returned to the artisan for rework — not discounted and sold.

Three checkpoints.
Zero shortcuts.

Checkpoint 1 — At the workshop: Each piece is inspected by the producing artisan and by our team before leaving the workshop. Defects identified at this stage are corrected before the piece moves forward.

Checkpoint 2 — At our facility: All pieces undergo a second inspection at our Tétouan facility, where they are assessed against our full quality checklist, photographed, and logged. Pieces that do not pass are quarantined for rework or rejection.

Checkpoint 3 — Pre-shipment: A final check is performed before packaging. We verify that the piece matches its product listing, that packaging is appropriate for international transit, and that no damage has occurred during handling.
