Editorial Standards — Moroccan Corridor®

Editorial Standards

How We Write and Publish

Editorial
Standards.

Every word published under the Moroccan Corridor® name is held to a clear set of standards — for accuracy, cultural integrity, and honest communication.

Words about craft
must be as honest as the craft.

Moroccan Corridor® publishes content across product descriptions, blog articles, brand pages, and social media. All of it — without exception — is held to the same standard: it must be accurate, it must be respectful of the cultural traditions it describes, and it must never exaggerate, romanticise, or appropriate.

We publish this page because we believe our readers deserve to know how we approach the content we create — and because transparency about editorial process is part of what it means to be a trustworthy brand.

How we research,
write, and publish.

Accuracy
We verify before we publish. Every factual claim in our content — about craft techniques, historical origins, material properties, or artisan communities — is verified against primary sources or direct artisan knowledge before publication. We do not repeat unverified claims from other brand websites or general internet sources. When we are uncertain, we say so or we do not publish the claim.
Cultural Integrity
We describe, we do not appropriate. We write about Moroccan craft traditions with deep respect for their cultural origins. We name the specific traditions, regions, and communities behind each technique. We do not use vague, exoticising language that reduces Moroccan craft to a generic “Oriental” aesthetic. We do not claim ownership of cultural knowledge that belongs to the communities who created it. When we describe a technique as “traditional,” we can explain what that means specifically.
Honesty
We do not exaggerate. We do not describe products as “rare” unless they genuinely are. We do not use superlatives we cannot substantiate. We do not claim a technique is “centuries old” without being able to trace that lineage. Our product descriptions are written to inform, not to seduce through vague claims of exclusivity or mystique.
Attribution
We credit our sources and our makers. When we draw on external research, historical sources, or artisan knowledge, we acknowledge it. When content is informed by a specific artisan’s expertise, we note that. We do not present borrowed knowledge as our own original insight. Where artisans have contributed to the content we publish about their craft, we seek their review and approval before publication.
Independence
Our editorial voice is not for sale. Moroccan Corridor® does not publish sponsored content, paid placements, or affiliate-driven recommendations disguised as editorial. If we recommend a care product, a complementary brand, or a resource, it is because we genuinely believe in it — not because we have been paid to say so. Any commercial relationship that influences content will be disclosed clearly.
Corrections
We correct errors promptly and transparently. If we publish something that is factually incorrect, we correct it as soon as we become aware of the error. We do not quietly edit content without acknowledgement. Significant corrections are noted within the content itself. We welcome corrections from readers, artisans, and cultural experts — and we take them seriously.

What we publish
and why.

Our editorial content covers three areas: the craft traditions behind our products, the artisan communities we work with, and the broader cultural context of Moroccan handmade goods. We publish this content because we believe that informed customers make better decisions — and because the stories behind our products are genuinely worth telling.

We do not publish content primarily for SEO. We publish content that we believe is useful, accurate, and respectful of the traditions it describes. If that content also performs well in search, we consider that a consequence of quality — not a substitute for it.

Our Commitment

If you believe we have published something that does not meet these standards — factually, culturally, or editorially — we want to hear from you. Write to us directly. We will read it, consider it seriously, and respond.
