Moroccan Leather Tile Large Ottoman - Soft Pink

A thousand stitches. One object. Made entirely by hand in the workshops of Marrakech.

This large leather ottoman is made from vegetable-tanned goat leather, sourced and processed in the tanneries of the Marrakech medina — one of the last places in the world where leather is still tanned by hand, in open-air stone vats, using natural pigments and methods unchanged for centuries. The tile embroidery pattern is worked stitch by stitch by a single artisan. No machine touches this object at any stage of its making.

A piece that works in any room

The Moroccan pouf is one of the most versatile objects in interior design. Use it as a footstool beside a sofa, a low seat in a reading corner, a side table with a tray, or a statement object in a child’s room. Its compact form and neutral-warm palette mean it integrates easily into any interior — contemporary, maximalist, Scandinavian, or layered.

Available in two sizes: the smaller format (D 28” / H 13”) works well beside armchairs and in tighter spaces; the larger format (D 35” / H 18”) functions as a full ottoman or low coffee table.

Care

Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Condition occasionally with a natural leather balm to maintain suppleness. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour. Note: new leather may transfer colour to light fabrics — place on a protective surface until fully settled.

Each pouf is handcrafted individually. Minor variations in colour, stitch density, and form are inherent to the process and add to the character of the piece.
